About Us

Pastor Ed serves The Outpost Family after having finished 29 years of teaching in area schools. Ed came to the Lord at the age of 7, was baptized at 8, and has served the Lord in churches specializing in children and Christian Education. Ed has been blessed to be married to his wife, Dianne, for over 43 years. Together they have four married children and 10 grandchildren. They met at Multnomah Bible College and share the desire to follow God and His Word.

Bob Thompson is a licensed contractor who enjoys fishing and Oakland A's baseball.  His wife, Colleen, have two married daughters.  Colleen is a counselor at the Neighborhood Church of Redding.  Together, they lead the Couple's Connection Fellowship Group.

Dave Newton is an elementary school teacher and taxidermist.  Dave's and his wife, Bonnie, have one daughter who is a pastor's wife.    Dave is an avid hunter and fisherman.  Dave is the Adult Bible Study Leader on Sundays at 9 AM.  Bonnie serves The Outpost as one of our treasurers.

Tom Sanders is a retired buliding contractor as well as having worked as an RN.  Tom has ministered in prisons and in Celebrate Recovery programs.  Joan helps guide the Compassionate Needles program for women in preparing needed comforters for the needy.
